Three chlorine dioxide solutions 0.3% in comparison

More and more often we receive inquiries from customers regarding the concentration of our homemade chlorine dioxide solution 0.3%:
The color as well as the smell of our solution is much more intense, more acrid than the chlorine dioxide solutions 0.3% from other manufacturers.
This naturally aroused our interest to carry out a comparative test.

We ordered two competitor products at random for this purpose.

Chlorine dioxide is a yellow gas which is dissolved in the water of the CDS.
The higher the gas concentration, the stronger the color of the CDS and the stronger the ClO2 emission when the lid is open.
The correct pH value of a CDS must necessarily be in the neutral pH range of approx. pH 7. Otherwise, problems may occur during use. Low pH values also considerably shorten the storage time.

All test bottles were opened for the first time on the day of analysis and tested professionally without any manipulation.

Results third-party products:
The third-party CDSs purchased by us show very weak analysis results than 3000ppm and consequently also smell weaker. Both measured pH values of the ordered solutions are far below the neutral pH value of 7. These pH values are frighteningly animalf: the pH value 2.62 is a strong acid! Extreme caution when using!

General quality competitor products:
Customers sometimes provide us with a vial of the competitor's products.... Conclusion: the latest sample had just the content of 700 ppm instead of 3000 ppm!
We have never been given even a remotely correct sample.......

Mychem quality:
We make our CDS fresh weekly and check the concentration with a special, accurate analyzer. We test the pH value with a professional pH meter.
We always come to 0.3% or 3000ppm and a pH value around 7. These values vary naturally in a small range of around 5%.

Conclusion:
A strong smell is an indication that a CDS really has the high concentration. Consequently, our Mychem CDS is twice as productive as those of the competitors.

We hope we have been able to shed some light on this. And we look forward to welcoming you as a customer.
