The BeFree replacement filter is the correct replacement part for the BioClean outdoor water purification system.
The EZ-Clean Membrane™ filter cartridge from Katadyn is a compact hollow-fiber filter for compatible BeFree systems. It is designed for mechanical filtration of outdoor water and reduces sediment, particles, bacteria, and cysts. Viruses are not reliably retained by the mechanical filter.
When combined with BioClean, it creates a practical system for on-the-go use: The BeFree filter mechanically reduces solids and certain microbiological contaminants, while BioClean—a registered chlorine dioxide solution—is added directly to the water for additional purification.
The replacement filter is ideal for anyone who already uses a BioClean + BeFree outdoor set and wants to replace the filter when flow rate decreases or after intensive use.

The lifespan of a water filter depends heavily on the quality of the source water. The more suspended solids, sediments, or fine particles present in the water, the faster the filter can become clogged.
A replacement filter ensures that the BeFree system remains ready for use even when you’re on the go—especially on longer trips, tours, or with regular use.
The BeFree filter is designed for mechanical filtration. For the BioClean Outdoor System, first fill the BeFree bottle with water. Then add 3 drops of BioClean directly to the water. Next, screw on the lid with the integrated BeFree filter and activated carbon filter. After the recommended contact time of approximately 30 minutes, the water can be drunk directly from the bottle.
Important:
The filter does not replace the proper use of BioClean. Conversely, BioClean does not replace mechanical filtration when the water is cloudy or visibly heavily contaminated.

BioClean is a chlorine dioxide solution registered as a biocide. Use biocidal products with caution. Always read the label and product information before use.

Ordered items will be delivered as quickly as possible depending on availability. More precise delivery times are displayed for each item and at the end of the order process.
If an item is not available, we will inform the customer immediately. If non-compliance with a delivery or performance deadline is due to force majeure, unforeseeable obstacles or other circumstances for which we are not responsible, the deadline shall be extended accordingly. If the impossibility of delivery is due to the inability of the manufacturer or our supplier, both we and the buyer may withdraw from the contract if the agreed delivery date is exceeded by more than 3 weeks.
Delivery costs/free delivery The delivery costs are calculated according to weight and shipping method and are shown separately in the order process.
From a net value of CHF 100.00, shipping is free of charge by "PostPack Priority" or A Mail.
General remarks There are no delivery costs for personal collection.

Packaging costs The cost of standard factory packaging is included in the price. If special packaging is required or is necessary for the safe shipment of an item, the corresponding costs will be charged.
Delivery area Our articles can only be delivered within Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
