Description

BioClean 10 ml is the compact travel and outdoor size of the registered 0.3% chlorine dioxide solution for water treatment, as per the product information.

The small dropper bottle is particularly suitable for use on the go: whilst hiking, cycling, bike packing, camping, travelling, living in a van, on motorbike tours or as a small emergency reserve. It takes up little space, is easy to measure out and, at 3 drops per litre, is sufficient for around 65 litres of water, equating to CHF 0.28 per litre of water.

BioClean is not a substitute for mechanical filtration when visible particles such as sand, soil, plant debris or suspended solids are present. Where possible, such particles should be filtered out mechanically or otherwise removed before use. For example, hold a tissue over the bottle opening whilst filling it.

BioClean is also no substitute for chemical analysis in cases of unknown contamination from industrial substances, heavy metals, pesticides or other pollutants. It should not be used with water sources that are clearly unsuitable.

Why BioClean 10ml?

BioClean 10 ml is designed for situations where you want to carry a small, lightweight and simple solution for additional water treatment whilst on the move. For example, when the water quality from a stream, spring, lake, well, jerry can or refill point is difficult to assess.

The small dropper bottle fits easily into a jersey pocket, saddle bag, frame bag, rucksack, tank bag, first-aid kit, camping box or emergency kit. This makes BioClean 10 ml particularly handy as a fresh water bottle for individual trips, weekend getaways or outdoor activities.

Use whilst out an about

BioClean 10 ml is added directly to the water. It is therefore particularly easy to use if you already have a water bottle, a drinking bottle, a BeFree bottle or another suitable water container to hand.

Practical use whilst out and about:

- Have a clean water bottle, drinking bottle, BeFree bottle or container ready

- If necessary, strain out any visible particles beforehand

- Fill the bottle with water from a stream, lake, spring, well or refill point

- Add approx. 3 drops of BioClean per litre of water

- Close the bottle and give it a quick shake

- Leave to stand for approx. 30 minutes

- Then use as intended

At a dosage of 3 drops per litre, a 10-ml bottle of BioClean is sufficient for approx. 65 litres of water – that is CHF 0.28 per litre.

Calculation based on approx. 20 drops per ml. The actual yield may vary slightly depending on drop size and application.

Why treat water whilst travelling?

Even water that looks clear may be contaminated with microbes. When travelling, in particular, it is often impossible to tell what the actual water quality is.

For example, it is often unclear:

- what lies upstream of a stream

- whether animals have had access to the water source

- how long the water has been standing

- whether pipes, wells or refill points are cleaned regularly

- whether there might be any microbiological contamination

When travelling, ice cubes, salad, raw vegetables, washed fruit or surfaces that come into contact with food can also play a role. It is therefore advisable to practise good water and travel hygiene.

Which size is right for you?

Both sizes have their uses. BioClean 10 ml is the small outdoor and travel size. BioClean 100 ml is the larger original and stock bottle for household use, camping, longer trips, larger quantities of water or regular use.

Why choose BioClean over traditional chlorine-base products?

Many traditional water treatment products are based on chlorine compounds. Depending on the dosage and water quality, such products can cause a typical chlorine smell or taste.

BioClean is based on chlorine dioxide and is used very sparingly. When used correctly, it does not usually produce the typical chlorine taste that many travellers are familiar with from traditional chlorine-based products.

This is a practical advantage, particularly when travelling, as water is not only drunk but can also be used for coffee, tea, cooking, brushing your teeth or making cold drinks.

Delivery & Shipping

We supply customers in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

MYCHEM.CH's terms of delivery and payment are described in detail during the ordering process. Special delivery methods requested by our customers will be charged with a local surcharge.

Ordered items will be delivered as quickly as possible depending on availability. More precise delivery times are displayed for each item and at the end of the order process.

If an item is not available, we will inform the customer immediately. If non-compliance with a delivery or performance deadline is due to force majeure, unforeseeable obstacles or other circumstances for which we are not responsible, the deadline shall be extended accordingly. If the impossibility of delivery is due to the inability of the manufacturer or our supplier, both we and the buyer may withdraw from the contract if the agreed delivery date is exceeded by more than 3 weeks.
