The dried organic aronia berries are a pure natural product - without additives, gently dried at 42 °C (raw food quality) so that the taste and valuable ingredients are optimally preserved.
The aronia berry, originally from North America, is rich in natural antioxidants, especially anthocyanins and OPC. These secondary plant substances have an antioxidant effect and support the body in the fight against free radicals.
Aronia berries contain more natural vital substance OPC than grape seeds.
Ideal as a snack or ingredient
Anthocyanins have a strong antioxidant effect and are therefore good cell protection. They can bind free radicals, which are responsible for numerous diseases as we get older. By consuming aronia, you can "dispose" of free radicals from your body. The ingredients of aronia (anthocyanins and flavonoids) bind the reactive oxygen and nitrogen molecules. This reduces cell damage and cell degeneration.
Antioxidants
Initially free radicals are responsible for many health complaints. They attack the cells and impair their function. Antioxidants can protect your cells.
Such radical scavengers (antioxidants) are potent anti-ageing agents. Pollutants and environmental toxins as well as the body's own normal metabolic products, such as those produced during muscle work and sport, burden our body with free radicals.
Aronia berries have a particularly high antioxidant potential.
The body cannot produce antioxidants itself. We have to get them from our food.
We can find antioxidants in fruit, vegetables, coffee, tea, various spices, red wine and vegetable oils etc.
The aronia berry tops the list of healthy berries. No other fruit has such a high concentration of anthocyanins as the chokeberry. Compared to blueberries, which are considered very healthy, the concentration in chokeberries is five times higher.
OCP
OPC is the abbreviation for "oligomeric proanthocyanidins". They belong to the group of flavonoids - a secondary plant substance. In the past, OPCs were grouped together under the name "vitamin P".
Today, OPCs are produced industrially from grape seed extracts.
In addition to grape seeds, peanuts, blueberries and cranberries also contain a considerable amount of the natural vital substance OPC.
Aronia berries outperform their competitors many times over in terms of OPC content.
OPC is said to have an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and blood-thinning effect.
Vitamins and OPC
In combination, OPC is considered a natural booster of vitamins A, C and E. The high content of natural vitamins in chokeberries (A, C, E and K) is thus increased many times over.
The antioxidant potential of OPC is more than 10 times stronger than that of vitamin C and 40 times stronger than that of vitamin E. OPC also activates vitamin C and increases its antioxidant properties tenfold. Vitamins A and E are active for ten times longer in the presence of OPC.
Instead of remedying a deficiency with high doses of individual synthetic compounds, it makes much more sense to consume natural products that contain plenty of secondary plant substances in addition to vitamins.
Aronia is perfect for this.

Storage:
Dried berries have a very long shelf life (much longer than the 12 months stated on the packet). Storage pests such as moths etc. are the greatest danger. So store your berries in glass or rigid plastic containers.
